DAF dealership group Ford & Slater has committed that all company cars will be either hybrid or electric by 2024.

The promise comes as part of the company’s overall focus towards sustainable transport solutions for both their own organisation and their customers. Ford & Slater Managing Director, Tim Strevens, explained: “In both the CF Electric and LF Electric, DAF Trucks is leading the way when it comes to fully electric commercial vehicles. This is coupled with a myriad of other solutions to help businesses become more sustainable and reduce their environmental impact.”

Strevens continued, “We also recognise the importance of prioritising a sustainability agenda within our own operation, and setting an example for our sector.”

By June of this year, 25% of Ford & Slater’s 75 company cars will be either hybrid or electric, with all vehicles replaced by 2024.

Tim Strevens concluded, “It is more important than ever that we take a hard look at our carbon emissions and look toward a greener future, and this is just one of a number of initiatives we have and will continue to introduce with a focus on reducing our carbon footprint.”
